Our gorgeous building was built in 1886 in Ashville, Ohio as Stuard's Opera House (second floor) and Stoltz Mercantile (first floor). Doc Stuard is pictured here with his horse, in front of the building. Documents indicate that there was a central staircase from the first floor to the second. That staircase no longer exists. To date, we have not been able to find any photos of the inside of the building other than one picture from a live performance in the second floor opera house from 1911.
